Great! But needs...

I use a LiveScribe pen for class, which is like the handwriting way. Similar results. I like the idea of typing instead of writing, especially since I can type faster than I can write, and more legibly too. :-)

What I would correct in order to pursuade me to purchase the full version:

1) Ability to change font, font size and color.
2) Ability to add new text IN LINE with the recording. I always think of additions to my notes later! With my Livescribe Pen, while replaying the recording through the pen, you are able to add in new writing in line with the recording.
3) I have used an external microphone to avoid the annoying sound of the pounding on my keyboard. It would be nice to have this eliminated or reduced if that is possible.

Change that, and I may purchase the full version for sure and take notes via my Mac more often.
